Why Straight Men Might Love San Francisco

There are often lists printed up of the best cities to live in. San Francisco is almost always on those lists somewhere near the top. That was the case again recently when AskMen.com published their annual list of the top cities for men. San Francisco was ranked third on the list behind only Chicago and Barcelona as a great place for men to think about moving this year. The write-up of the publication makes it clear that the list is basically for straight guys.

There were a few different reasons that were listed by the publication as to why hetero men might want to move here. At the top of the list was the fact that the straight men have a decent chance with the ladies here only because the ratio of straight men to women is in the favor of men. More importantly, I think, since San Francisco is ranked among the healthiest and smartest cities, the women those men are meeting here are generally a high quality of woman. And the sexy nature of the city means that those women are confident in the bedroom and interested in exploring things there.

There are many other good reasons to live here as well of course. I’d venture to say that one great reason for men to like San Francisco, although many may not admit it outright, is because the nature of the city is such that guys can relax a bit in their manhood. There’s no need to be macho here or to hide from your more sensitive feelings or to admit that you might be interested in sex play that isn’t just found in Playboy. San Francisco is all about just being who you are and for guys who are straight but not quite at the redneck end of the spectrum that can be a great relief.
