Earlier today we took a look at the erection of the Transamerica Pyramid, one of San Francisco’s phallic structures. Now let’s take a look at a phallic structure that had the potential to be built in San Francisco but probably isn’t going to be:

The image comes from Frisco Vista which reported recently on the fact that the Transbay Station probably isn’t going to come to fruition because the design originally chosen just don’t actually seem suited to the project. The image above shows one of the submitted designs going flaccid.

Basically the story behind this is that the planned design for the new light ril station would probably be inadequate to cover the number of passengers that would most likely be using the station in the next twenty or thirty years. Therefore it’s been decided that some sort of other solution needs to be found. What a boner killer.
