One of the things that I love to do as a blogger is to participate in online blog carnivals where a variety of posts are collected from several great blogs and compiled together in one set of theme-based links. I think it’s a great way to see how other blogs are tackling the same topics as those that I touch on and I love the way it introduces me to blogs I never would have uncovered otherwise.

In that spirit, I’d like to point out that one of the main pages of this site - 60 Super Sexy Things to do in San Francisco - was recently included in a travel-themed blog carnival called Travel the World. The carnival collects travel information from insiders in diverse locations. Mine was the only post in the “things to do” category this time around. However there were some great posts in other similar categories like places to go and people to see.

There were tons of posts offering travel tips on topics including budgeting and saving money on travel, packing for trips, solving service problems, dealing with foreign transaction fees and staying healthy while traveling. There were also just a lot of travel stories in this carnival including stories about Chinese typhoons, pop-up campers, a trip to Hard Rock Park, birding in Guatemala and various info about traveling to Ireland, Peru, and Bath.

Makes me want to travel somewhere! Incidentally, a recent post about the hassles of travel that was on my other blog, Real Words, was also included in an online blog carnival this week.
