San Francisco is arguably the sexiest city in the world. The first-time visitor here may think that this is because we have an in-your-face, no-holds-barred, anything-goes acceptance of all kinds of sex in San Francisco. That’s a true enough assessment of the city except that it doesn’t even begin to encapsulate all that is sexy about San Francisco.

To digress for a moment, let’s take a look at the neo-burlesque movement. This is a global revival of the old teasing art of burlesque … it’s happening all around the world today and one of the hubs that is bringing it back is San Francisco. The shows that come out of this revival give a nod to the teasing art of the past but also bring a modern sexiness to the display of sexuality. It’s sex right out there in the open for anyone to see and yet it manages to retain a little bit of mystery. It’s an art.

The same things that make burlesque sexy are things that make San Francisco sexy. There’s a little bit of that super-obvious sexuality and a little bit of that art of the tease. There is a little bit about the history of sex and a little bit about pushing the boundaries of sexuality today. There is a little bit of that exhibitionism and a little bit of that voyeurism and a little bit of just leaving people alone to do the things that they want to do in the privacy of their own hearts.

This blog is a blog that honors that, celebrates it, takes a look at it and says “yay for San Francisco”. It’s a blog that recognizes that it’s important to be sexy. Sexy isn’t just about sex. It’s about passion and inspiration and connecting with others and having a good time and being daring and trying new things and not worrying about what the world thinks of you because you know that the beat of your heart and the salivation of your tongue are all that’s really true for you right now. That’s what this blog is about.

San Francisco is Sexy aims to be a blog where you can explore the sexy side of San Francisco. A lot of what you’ll find on this blog are short announcements of the sexy things that are coming up for you to do in the city - sexy performances, sexy events, sexy art shows. You’ll also find more comprehensive posts about the sexy things that there are to do and see in the city - the sexiest clubs and neighborhoods and people that are here. There are reviews of the sexy things I’m doing here in the city (listed as they are posted on the My Sexy SF page). And as the blog grows there will be sexy pictures and sexy SF stories galore.

Celebrate the sexiness of the city whether you’re a resident or just sometimes wish that you could be!
