I’m not too much of a sushi person which always manages to upset my friends here in San Francisco where sushi seems to be considered one of the best dinner options for any given night. However, I’ve learned to appreciate a few things about going out for sushi in San Francisco. A few of those things are:

1. Sushi boats. I just happen to think that sushi tastes a lot better when you have the whole fun novelty experience of watching it come around on the boats.
2. Plum wine. I may not like sushi all that much but I love plum wine and the heady hot wine buzz that comes along with it.
3. Ordering sushi with silly names. Yep, that’s right. I’m like a junior high school boy giggling behind my books about the ridiculous names that sushi sometimes has and I enjoy every minute of it.

A few of the sexy, silly, suggestive sushi rolls that I know that you can order in San Francisco include:

• Firecracker Balls which are best ordered with the Sexy Mama sushi roll at Domo.
• There’s also a Sexy Mama sushi roll available at Ryoko’s.
• There are plain old “sexy Sushi rolls” at several places including Nara’s.
• There’s an Ecstasy Roll at Moki Sushi. Sangha Sushi reportedly has one as well so you can compare types of ecstasy if you get around.
• Crazy Sushi reportedly has several hot options like the Orgasmic Spicy Tuna Roll and the Lesbionic and the Sexy Lizzy although I can only find the Lesbionic listed on their online menu.
• Order an Unagi Lover with a Deep Rising over at Zushi Puzzle.
• Sushi Raw has a Lover’s Roll. And I think they’re being insuinating with some of their other rolls like the Sunset Strip Roll and the Plum Flower Roll.
• But so far Sushi Bistro seems to take the cake with options that include Sexy Scallop, Spicy Girl and Hot Love. They also have a Caucasian Afro. I kind of want to go here to order a Spicy Girl with a Caucasian Afro some Drunken Halibut, Hot Love and Five Wishes. However, I will leave their Stinky Salmon to someone else.

And although I don’t see anything specifically sexy on the menu, it’s a little fun to say that you went to Nakedfish to get your sushi isn’t it?

As a related topic, I regularly hear people mention nyotaimori (in which sushi is eaten off the body of a nude performance art model) as something hot that they’d like to try. All of my research thus far has failed to turn up a place in San Francisco where this exists (except maybe the Geisha Lounge a couple of years ago) but I’m sure that it must be happening here somewhere. Anyone know where to find it?
