Flirty Fun Photos for I Live Here SF Project

Anyone who checks out the links that I put up on Sundays to other blogs around San Francisco will probably already know that I am totally loving the I Live Here: SF project. It is a collaborative creative project in which a local photographer is pairing up with all different types of people in our beautiful city to photograph the life that lives here. And I’m excited because I think it’s a terrific idea and I was lucky enough to get to be a part of that.
There were so many things that I loved about being a part of this project. A bare glimpse into those things includes:
- The collaboration experience is always amazing. I love when two creative people can come together and have a shared creation that becomes more than what either of them could do alone. I love my city and I can easily find dozens of places that I think are great here. However, I can’t take my own great pictures of those places and this collaboration allowed me to show off some of those places in photos.
- The photographer truly sees the beauty in everyone. One thing I love about the beauty in San Francisco is that it is not all the same. Everyone here really does have something unique about them. People do their own thing a lot of the time. I believe that this photographer is absolutely capable of seeing the unique beauty in each person that she works with and bringing that to light with her photos.
- It was an inspiring experience creatively. I believe that all writers should get involved in projects that aren’t specifically about writing because it stirs up the imagination and brings out your creativity. I definitely felt a heightened excitement about being creative following this experience.
- I got to wander around my neighborhood. There are many places that I love in this city. I don’t always think of my neighborhood as the best one. However, I do love it here. We wandered up to the beautiful staircase views of Macondray Lane (which you should know all about if you’ve ever read or seen the Tales of the City series). I learned which house on Lombard was the one in Vertigo. We stopped into Musee Mecanique which never fails to make me smile.
- Getting to know someone new is always fun. I am always so excited when I get to meet new creative people in San Francisco. This project brings people here together and I love it, love it, love it.
Check out the project itself following the links above and check out the photographer’s other blog for some additional insight into how she feels about this project. And if you live in San Francisco and want to be a part of the project, just contact her via email to get more info.

Oh, I love the shot you picked here. The sunlit backdrop looks like a theatrical set, mildly reminiscent the dockyard in On the Waterfront. That makes you Terry Malloy, the innocent, the passionate, the idealist.
