Saturday’s 7 Sexy Things to Do in San Francisco

I’m not in San Francisco today so I’m not going to be able to check out all of the sexy things that are going on there but that doesn’t mean they aren’t happening. Here are seven sexy things that I know of that are happening today in San Francisco and will just have to happen without me:

  1. It Ain’t Me. This play which officially starts today is described as being “about a woman finding her way out of profound grief through misadventures in blind dates, pornographic fantasies, coast to coast bootie calls and group therapy”. It shows at 8 pm at El Teatro de la Esperanza on 16th Street; tickets are $15.
  2. Hot Glass, Cold Beer at Public Glass. This is a really cool now-and-then event that I think has a sexy side. You get to drink and snack while listening to live music and watching a glass blowing demonstration. The $25 ticket gets you all you can eat and drink and it also lets you take a handblown glass heart home with you. The event is from 6-10.
  3. Scary Cow Film Festival. 25 short films are being screened today at The Castro Theatre. They won’t all be sexy but the theatre itself is sexy! Screening is from 2:30 to 10 and there’s an after-party following the last show. Tickets are 9:50 for the movies only (in and out is fine) and another $9 if you want to go to the party which includes complimentary snacks and drinks.
  4. Cinch: The Art of Corsetry opening reception at Femina Potens. Five different artists have created wearable art corsets which will be shown off on live models at the opening reception for the event tonight. It’s from 7-10.
  5. Love Bites Pop Rocks. This annual show is a cabaret performance of anti-love songs from the Lesbian / Gay Chorus of San Francisco. There’s an adults only show next week on the 13th but if you’ve got plans for that day then you can go to the watered-down version tonight and still have a good time.
  6. SF Follies. I hope to see this fun show when I get back - it’s a musical that pokes fun at our city and is supposed to have a scandalous side. I heard that tickets were selling out but you can see if there are any left for tonight.
  7. Nina Hartley and Ira Levine Workshop at The Center for Sex and Culture. At the time that I wrote this post, there weren’t details on the workshop yet but I know that if it’s got Nina, it’s got to be hot. The details should be over at the CSC website now so just follow that link.

And a couple of bonuses this week since I didn’t have all of the info on that last one. There’s an art reception opening for sexy local artist Chelsea Croy tonight at Red Union Hair Salon (where I recently got my sexy haircut). It’s from 7-9. And today is one of the days when you can enjoy the animalistic antics of the 20th annual Woo at the Zoo, one of San Francisco’s sexiest annual events.
