2 Sexy Multi-Artist Art Shows This Weekend
Although I’m certainly glad to get a chance to go back home to Tucson to see my family and friends, I’m sad to say that there are two sexy multi-artist art shows that I’m missing out on the opening nights of while I’m in Arizona. Those of you lucky enough to be in the city this weekend should check them out and let me know all of the details!
First up is the Pin It Up Babycakes pinup art show which opens tonight at 111 Minna. This is artwork inspired by pin-up so think fishnets, burlesque and sexy teasing. Appropriately, the opening night show tonight features burlesque performances from a variety of local stars including Bombshell Betty and Dottie Lux. Artists with work in the show include Jessica Whiteside, Alice Stribling and Molly Crabapple. But these names are just a few of the artists and performers at the show; check out the link to the show to get all of the details about what you can expect to see here.
The second show to attend this weekend is the annual Erotic Art Show at City Art over in The Mission. The sexy works of more than two dozen artists will be shown off at this co-op space including the beefcake art of Richard Dodds which I fell in love with earlier this year. The opening reception is from seven to ten on Friday February 6th.
I’m sad that I’m not going to make it to the opening nights for either of these art shows but I do plan to check out the art itself at some point since both venues are keeping the stuff up throughout the month.
