San Francisco Quickie: Porn Filmed in the Mission
I was browsing through some of my favorite websites earlier this week and saw a post over at Mission Mission about porn being filmed at The Knockout.
The story isn’t all that shocking. Kink.com films all sorts of porn out of the old armory (was it really two years ago that they moved there from SoMA?!) And they were the ones apparently filming at this Mission bar for their Public Disgrace porn series. (As a side note, there is a portion of the armory that isn’t leased out to Kink.com but is actually leased out to a community center which just seems oh-so-San-Francisco).
However, it did catch my attention because I’ve never been to the Knockout even though it’s on my “to do” list. My reason isn’t porn - it’s that I’ve heard they have a Ms. Pacman game there and I’m the champion of Ms. Pacman so I’m always interested in finding a new machine to play on. But the porn post reminded me that I still haven’t made it over there.
It also got me wondering what other public spaces in San Francisco have served as the sets for adult movies and would be recognizable in the film. Anyone know of any?
