A Look Back at A Food Affaire
I’m just starting to get this blog going. It’s getting off to a slightly slower start than I had originally planned as I wrap up some of my other jobs and get plans for this blog all settled in my mind (and, gasp, maybe even on paper). So I meant to write about an event called A Food Affaire before it actually happened but since I’m not quite on top of things here yet, I failed to actually do that.
Although the event has passed (it happened on Monday) I did want to give a brief look back at it because it is one of those things that is oh-so-San-Francisco-sexy. And like many of those things, I didn’t get a chance to make it to the event since I was actually doing other sexy things in San Francisco at the time. But I heard about it and read about it and wanted to share what I knew.
The event was called an aphrodisiac event called A Food Affaire. Twenty different chefs came together at the event (um, pun intended?) to delight the taste buds of the people who were attending the affair. They created dishes designed to titillate while performance artists in the venue were attending to some of the other senses we complicated sensual humans have.
The event was written about in advance by San Francisco’s favorite sex blogger Violet Blue and then was mentioned in passing after it was complete on her blog (which includes a short video of one of the performances). From her report the event was sexy and fun and exactly what it was supposed to be. Which sounds like a perfect way to spend a Monday night in San Francisco and so I can only wish that I was there.
