Pink Slip: Drag Cabaret
The kind of events to be found in San Francisco that can be considered sexy are as varied as the diverse people who live in this city. One of these types of events that I’m interested in checking out but haven’t yet had a chance to make it to is Pink Slip.
This is a cabaret show hosted by local performer Virginia Suicide which shows off the sexy talents of drag performers. It’s held every Tuesday night at 11 pm at The Stud (a SoMA gay bar that you can find at 9th and Harrison). This weekly event has only been happening for about a month so if you start going then you can get in on the early days of what could end up being a really popular sexy San Francisco thing.
What you might find there is anyone’s guess. I know that tonight’s show is called “Beauty and the Bestiality” and is billed on the Pink Slip’s flier as being about “the love that dare not speak its name” getting its own “cuddly” show. Freaky to some, sexy to the rest. I can’t make it to the show tonight but I’m planning on heading over there one of these upcoming Tuesdays to check it out.
In the meantime, I’ve been watching PinkSlip on YouTube:
You can learn more about Virginia Suicide and Pink Slip from this interview. And if you make it to the event, I want to know all of the juicy details so come comment all about it here!
