Since Shanghai is called San Francisco's sister city, and my ancestors are from China, I've always been curious about this so-called Babylon of the East. But I have mixed feelings about visiting China because of its government's appalling history of human rights violations.

@KennethSF - I don't know a lot about travel throughout China although everyone I know who has gone has really positive things to say about the experience. I was super excited to see that Buenos Aires ranked high on the international cities list because I've been reading a lot about it and am trying to plan a trip there in the next year or so. From what I understand, it's got a lot in common with SF although a lot of its own uniqueness as well.</description>
